Here’s where you can find the Fortnite spawn locations for X-4 Stormwings.
Epic Games released the Operation Snowdown Christmas event on Friday. A new challenges unlock each day at 9 AM ET that provides players with a cosmetic reward and 10,000 XP once completed.
So far, players have been tasked with dancing at different holiday trees, visiting and searching chests and different Snowmando Outposts, and destroy Nutcracker Statues scattered around the map.
With the release of Operation Snowdown, Epic added and unvaulted a few items and weapons. The snowball launcher as been changed to the big chill, Chiller Grenades have returned along with X-4 Stormwings planes.
X-4 Stormwing Fortnite players were added back in chapter 1 season 7, but they were vaulted a number of times while Epic addressed issues with them including complaints they were overpowered. A number of nerfs later, and X-4 Stormwing planes were a main stay in the game.
However, they haven’t been available in Chapter 2 until the Snowdown Operation release and they’ve come back with a few changes. Planes in Fortnite now have fuel which they’ll use up very quickly, so you won’t be able to continuously fly around the map for the entire win hoping to pickup an easy win.
Two of the Operation Snowdown challenges require players to use the X-4 Stormwing planes. Here are the challenges for Fortnite planes:
- Shoot down opponent structures with X-4 Stormwings
- Travel 5,000 meters in X-4 Stormwings
Today’s new challenges requires players to travel 5k meters in the Fortnite planes and here’s the spawn locations.
Where are X-4 Stormwing Spawn Locations in Fortnite?
You’ll find X-4 Stormwing Fortnite planes next to all of the Snowmando Outposts. There should be three spawns at each outposts, and each plane will have different fuel levels. In order to complete the challenge quickly, we’d obviously recommend getting the plane with the most starting fuel and fly around the map until you complete the challenge.
You can fly to different outposts and pick up a fresh plane in case you’re low on fuel, or fly around the outpost you got a plane from and jump out the plane into another one.
