Here’s everything we know so far on the leaked Zapper Trap item that’ll be coming to Fortnite Battle Royale soon.
The v10.20 client update was released earlier this week, which brought the Shield Bubble Item and the Fortnite X Mayhem collaboration. Other changes in this week’s update included the Storm Flip, Storm Scout Sniper Rifle, and the Drum Gun being vaulted. In a controversial decision, Epic also nerfed Turbo Building. The time between turbo building placements has been increased from 0.05 to 0.15 whilst the first placement of a structure using turbo building remains the same. The changes however, were reverted by Epic Games.
Dataminers leaked a handful of files from the v10.20 update including upcoming Item Shop cosmetics, the week 5 and week 6 loading screens, and more. One of the leaks that didn’t get much attention is an item that will likely be added to Fortnite Battle Royale in the next update, which will likely be a content update.
Dataminers leaked a new trap item called “Zapper Trap”. The Zapper Trap will be of Epic rarity with a max stack size of 4. Here’s what the item will look like:
Dataminer FortTory stated that you’ll be able to place the Zapper Trap on floors, walls and roofs. The code for the trap also mentions that you’ll be able to place the trap on enemy builds, however, we’ll have to wait and see if that’s the case as it seems unlikely Epic would do this.
As mentioned previously, we’ll likely see this item added in the next update, which will likely be the v10.20 content update. There’s been no official announcement by Epic Games as of writing, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated with the latest.
