The Fortnite Season 8, Week 8 challenges are now live. Here’s the challenges you’ll need to complete this week. The Discovery Challenge ‘Ruin’ skin will be available to unlock today.
We’re already in week 8 of Season 8 in Fortnite Battle Royale. The challenges for this week were leaked in yesterday’s v8.40 update, and the challenges haven’t changed. As with every week of challenges, there are three free challenges and four Battle Pass challenges for players to complete.
The challenges for this week are a lot more creative than what we saw in the week 7 challenges. Last week’s challenges had frustrating challenges such as dealing damage to opponents while riding a zipline and dealing damage to players who are riding the Zipline. Epic have added a new challenge this week that we haven’t seen before, dialing numbers on big telephones. This challenge has two stages, the first requiring players to dial the Durrr Burger number, and the second stage requires players to dial the Pizza Pit number on a big telephone.
Other challenges this week include finding 7 jigsaw puzzle pieces under bridges and in caves and searching the treasure map signpost found in Paradise Palms, and then locating the X on the treasure map. FORTNITE SEASON 8, WEEK 8 CHALLENGES

FREE PASS CHALLENGES
- Stage 1: Search the treasure map signpost found in Paradise Palms (1)
Stage 2: Search the X on the treasure map signpost in Paradise Palms (1) - Use Vending Machines in different matches (3)
- Deal damage to opponents while using at least one balloon (100)
Battle PASS CHALLENGES
- Search Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces under bridges and in caves (7)
- Stage 1: Dial the Durrr Burger number on the big telephone west of Fatal Fields (1)
Stage 2: Dial the Pizza Pit number on the big telephone east of The Block (1) - Eliminate opponents Dusty Divot or Lucky Landing (7)
- Eliminate opponents from at least 50m away (2)
Once you complete all of the challenges this week, you’ll be rewarded with the week 8 Discovery Challenge loading screen which was leaked yesterday. You can see the loading screen below.

Remember, the Discovery Challenge skin, Ruin, is available to unlock today. Players need to complete 55 of the 56 available challenges in order to unlock the skin.
