Fortnite has been growing in popularity since its release and has been showing no signs of stopping with new announcements being made. When Fortnite first launched, it was available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and it was later launched on iOS, with the Android release announced to be coming in the Summer.
We had covered some leaks that Fortnite would be available on Nintendo Switch in Q3, where Marcus Sellers, a video game journalist known for his leaks about other games coming to the Nintendo Switch in the past, tweeted “Fortnite = Nintendo Switch.” He then followed up his tweet by saying the game could be hitting the Switch in August/September. We had covered this in an article back in February and it seems as though there will be some sort of announcement regarding this at E3 tomorrow.
Kotachu has revealed that there is a source that has informed them of Fortnite coming to Switch, as seen below:
A source familiar with Epic Games’ plans, speaking anonymously to protect their career, also told Kotaku earlier this week that Fortnite would be coming to Switch. Epic Games did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
@SimonMKWii on Twitter, a dataminer, has revealed details of files that have been uploaded to the Nintendo eShop, as seen below:
As seen below, there is a Fortnite Wingman Starter Pack, and it seems as though this could be the Starter Pack that was leaked by @TwoEpicBuddies earlier today.
None of this information has been confirmed by Epic Games and there has not been an official statement to confirm any of the above. We will have to wait for tomorrow to see what is announced at E3.
