Epic Games have confirmed Season 6 for Fortnite Battle Royale is dropping tomorrow at 4am ET (9am BST), and we’ve been given three teaser images so far as well as a few changes and additions that we’ll be seeing once the season drops. We’ve listed all of the confirmed Season 6 information we have so far.
Double Barrel Changes
Eric Williamson, design lead at Epic Games, tweeted that there’ll be changes to the Double Barrel shotgun that’ll reduce the effectiveness of the weapon. The tweet also stated it’s just one of the balance adjustments coming in Season 6, so expect to see other gun balancing tomorrow.
Custom Controller Bindings
Console players will finally be getting a feature that they’ve been requesting for some time now, custom controller bindings. Aaron, the senior technical designer at Epic Games created a Reddit post stating custom controller bindings will be available in Season 6 tomorrow. You can read more about that here.
Audio Changes
Five days ago, Epic announced some audio changes that’ll be coming in Season 6, including changes to Footstep sounds, with more contrast between above/below footsteps to make it easier to distinguish if an enemy is above or below you. Other audio changes include high frequency audito content to help pinpoint the location of footsteps. You can read all the audio changes/additions here.
Although not officially confirmed, judging by the first teaser for Season 4 and 5, it looks like we know what the first Battle Pass skin will be.
The Llama DJ seen in the first teaser image will most likely be the first battle pass skin in Season 6, and will probably be customizable.
