Dataminers have leaked the time that the Overtime Challenges for Fortnite Season 8 will go live.
Overtime challenges for Fortnite Battle Royale were first introduced in Season 7 due to the season being extended. There’s no signs that Season 8 will be extended, but Overtime challenges and rewards were leaked in the v8.50 files.
A majority of dataminers and players, including ourselves, expected the Overtime challenges and rewards to go live yesterday at 3:30 PM BST when the weekly challenges went live. This wasn’t the case, but dataminers have now leaked when the Overtime challenges should go live.
Popular dataminer Hypex took to Twitter to post when the Overtime challenges and rewards would go live. According to him, the challenges will go live today and posted an image with the event type, active since and active until code strings.

In a reply to his tweet, he mentioned that the challenges go live in 45 minutes. As of writing, that tweet was posted 10 minutes ago, so if the time is correct, the challenges should go live at 9 AM ET (2 PM BST).
There won’t be as many Overtime challenges this season as their were in Season 7 due to the amount of time to complete them. The Overtime challenges were released last season with two weeks remaining, and there’s less than a week before Fortnite Season 9 is expected to begin.
There will be 10 challenges and 10 rewards if leaks are correct. All but three of the challenges are Season XP, with the other three new skin styles for the Season 8 Battle pass skins.
