Fortnite Season X/10 will be launching in the next hour and here’s what we know will be in the patch notes once they are released.
Epic Games released four teasers for Season X/10 with the last one being released yesterday, which was a short clip of the orb exploding at Loot Lake. An Epic employee running the Brazillian Fortnite account accidently leaked the full Season X story cinematic trailer which you can see here.
Epic then announced when the Fortnite servers will go down for maintenance. The servers go down at 4 AM ET (8 AM UTC) and they’ll likely be down for much longer. During downtime, we’ll get the official patch notes, but here’s what we can expect.
Map Changes – Returning and new locations
The first teaser provided a major hint of what to expect in Season X/10, Dusty Depot will be returning. This was confirmed in the Season X story trailer near the end when you see Jonesy come crashing down on the map. We also saw what appears to be the “OG Factories” on the map. Whilst Jonesy was in space or a time paradox, we saw current locations such as Lucky Landing building broken and floating around, which suggests these could be removed from the map. New Items or Weapons added, old items vaulted
Every single new season of Fortnite Battle Royale has had at least one new item or weapon added at the start of the season along with a host of items being vaulted. At the start of Season 9, the Combat Shotgun was added whilst there were more than 5 items that were sent packing to the vault.
We saw the Tactical SMG flying around Jonesy in the story trailer, which suggests we could see the weapon returing in Season X. We saw Ballers amongst other items flying around in the paradox, so expect to see them vaulted when the patch notes drop.
Fortnite Season X/10 v10.00 Patch Notes
Expect to see some improvements to the graphics of the game. Epic stated earlier than old graphic cards will no longer be able to run this season as they look to enhance the graphics of the game.
We’ll also see notes on the performance, bug fixes, smaller features being added, possible changes to the Fortnite Item Shop and more.
We’ll be posting the patch notes in a seperate article once they’ve been released, but we’ll be sure to link it here for you!
