Here’s how players can complete the “Search the treasure map signpost found in Junk Junction” Fortnite Challenge.
The Fortnite challenges for Season 8, Week 10 aren’t live yet, however they were leaked ahead of time by dataminers from last week’s v8.50 patch update.
One of the week 10 challenges is a staged challenge with the first stage requiring players to “search the treasure map signpost found in Junk Junction”. This challenge is similar to the signpost challenge found in Paradise Palms that was released in week 8 of this season.
In order to complete this staged challenge, players will obviously need to complete stage 1, which is as easy as going to Junk Junction and interacting with the signpost in order to see the treasure map.
We’ve found the location for the “search the treasure map signpost found in Junk Junction” challenge, however as this guide has been created prior to the week 10 challenges going live, the signpost at Junk Junction cannot be searched/interacted until the challenges officially go live. We will however, have the treasure map image in our next article. When the challenges do go live, the location of the Junk Junction signpost shown below will not change.
Search the treasure map signpost found in Junk Junction
As given away by the name of the challenge, the signpost can be found in Junk Junction, however the exact location can be a little tricky to find due to how clustered Junk Junction is. Here’s the treasure map signpost you’ve looking for in Junk Junction.
The Junk Junction treasure map signpost can be found south of the Junk Junction text ont he map, below the “o”. You’ll see the signpost in front of a metal crater, sandwiched between to piles of car scrap. You’ll likely see a wood pallet in front of the signpost (destroyed in image above).

In order to complete the first stage, players simply need to go up to the signpost and search/interact with it. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to see the treasure map required to complete the second and final stage of the challenge.
