Here are all of the changes made to the Fortnite map in the v9.10 update.
Epic have said in the past that they plan on keeping the same map instead of introducing multiple maps for the Battle Royale mode. To keep the map interesting, Epic make changes to the existing map, some are big and easily noticeable and sometimes minor changes are made. These changes can be as a result of an event, such as the volcano event completely destroying Tilted Towers and Retail Row so that new POIs can be added.
There aren’t any major changes that have been made in the v9.10 update, apart from Polar Peak, but we have covered the minor changes below. Please feel free to let us know if there are any changes we have missed.
Polar Peak Breaking
Polar Peak was hit by a volcanic rock during the event, however all it seemed to cause at the time was a crack. In the v9.00 update, many thought that the POI would crack and be replaced, but it was still standing. In the v9.10 update today, Polar Peak seems to be cracking more and it looks like something is breaking through. To see the footage of the ice cracking, click here. New Structure South of Shift Shafts
A bizarre structure can be found south of Shifty Shafts. In past updated, Epic have been adding structures in different areas around the map, but these have been animal structures that can clearly be recognized. It is unclear what this structure is, but as this season has a futuristic theme, this could be the reason behind this build.
House Renovation North of Snobby Shores
It looks like the residents of the house north of Snobby Shores are extending their house to have more rooms. We will likely see this building being finished in future updates.
Mr & Mrs Stone
There is a new farm plot on a hill north of Lonely Lodge, where we can see Mr and Mrs Stone starting their lives together after finding each other in Season 8. It looks like there is a new addition to their family!
